Hello everyone,
Long time no hear. I have just completed my first Jing production alone. It is an instructional video for attaching a file. I have talked to a couple of teachers and they have stated that some teachers don't know how to attach files. So there it is! I intend to add sound to it when I get a microphone. I am fine with any critiques. I would love to hear what anyone has to say about it. Please respond.

Technology in 50 years
There have been so many changes in technology in my lifetime, that I am afraid to speculate on the future. In the library, we used the dewey decimal system when I was in school. I know that most of the younger generation don't have a clue what microfiche is. But that was the extent of the technological advances twenty five years ago. Now the internet is the spot for archives and all new information. It is hard to guess about the future. It seems that computers have been given the ability to think. I believe that eventually teachers will be obsolete. I think they will build robots and/or computers who will give students all of the instruction they need. Just like machines have replaced many auto workers, I think that many workers at many businesses will no longer be needed. Not matter how unlike it is, I always think of Irobot for the future. I just hope it's not true.

Hey,
Above is the link to a super site that is great with math. It focuses mostly on higher level math courses such as trig, calculus, and algebra II. It is an open source software so it is free. Give it a try.

Day Two Reflections
Today was really something! I thought day one was busy. We received so much good instruction on observations and visiting teachers. I loved the examples that everyone gave in their powerpoints. The most exciting and tiring lesson of all was Movie Maker. It was so much fun compiling the information. It was greating learning how to edit the movie and everything. Loading was so confusing. There always seems to be something that doesn't work completely as planned when you are in training. But onward and upward! Tomorrow will probably be just as exhausting. But I am looking forward to the challenge.
